I used to teach Math to primary and secondary school students studying in Hong Kong of all skill levels, there were both 1:1 lessons and group lessons. During exam period, I provided exam preparation services for mid term exams, I helped around 8-10 students improved their exams grades with 20-30 marks.

I believe different teaching methods will suit different students. Since different students have different skills levels toward the course contents, for those students that have a relatively low knowledge level I may prefer to cover some basics before starting solving practical questions compared to students with a higher knowledge level.
