I taught Japanese students with different levels of literacy English language. I dealt with adults and children alike and tutored them mostly with grammar and comprehension, some for TOEIC and TOEFL review and others for language practice.

I mostly would like my students to feel at ease while studying with me so I make sure that I maintain a positive atmoshpere during my classes. I make sure that the rapport between me and my student is established before we proceed. We normally would converse lightly and I see to it that we connect like friends.
