An Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing, I have been teaching English for more than two decades in both the U.S. and abroad. My students have gone on to win prestigious awards, fellowships, residencies, and book publication--as well as earning A's on essay assignments--and they have found their own unique voices in the process.

My teaching method is upbeat, student-centered, constructive, and generative. I ask questions and always let each student's ideas be the guide for our discussion. I also make sure to have identifiable learning outcomes that we achieve using innovative, fun techniques.
